Only a few minutes walk from the center you can find ”sundhedssporene” (The Health Tracks), which are situated in the big wood and nature area ”St. Dyrehave”.
Within a distance of 4 kilometres from the center you will find a public swimming pool with a hot-water pool, a water slide as well as springboards, and furthermore within an approximately 20 min. walk you will find Frederiksborg Castle, the baroque garden, a long shopping street and two big shopping malls.
Moreover, an approximately 20 min. busride will take you to a big nature playground which is free of charge to use.
Volleyball, soccer, table tennis, nature playground and swings.
For the afternoon and evening we have a big bonfire with seating arrangements.
Of indoor facilities we offer:
Table tennis, football, air hockey, board games, and a cosy common room with a TV.
Wi-Fi is free to use and accessible all over the premises.
In the lower floor in the building containing the rooms the school class has the opportunity to use a common room – a so-called ”School room”.
If, on the last night, you feel like doing something extra there is the possibility to rent our discotheque – this has to be arranged with the staff. DKK 500,- per class (maximum 2 classes).
Our school camp prices are cheap offers that are offered to Danish private and public schools.
The price per person per day in 4-bedded rooms is DKK 375,-
If you wish to book rooms with private shower and toilet the price is DKK 425,- per person per night. This has to be booked for both teachers and students as the rooms are located in separate buildings and we prioritize that the groups stay in the same building.
The teachers can book single rooms at the cost of DKK 275,- per room per night. If not requested the teachers will be accommodated in shareds double rooms.
Dinner is served at 5.30 – 7 pm, and breakfast as well as ”self-made” lunch packs is at 7.30 – 9.30 am.
It might be necessary to eat in groups when we have many schools.
It is possible to arrive from 12 am, however it will not be possible to check into the rooms until 2 pm.
On the day of departure check out from the rooms is latest at 10 am, and the departure time from the premisis latest at 12 pm.
First time staying at a hostel because hotels in this area were very expensive when researching. Arrived after hours and key was easy to find. Everyone was very friendly - there was a summer camp and they invited us to have s'mores at the campfire. Room was very spacious, clean and had everything we expected. Experience here will make me look into hostels for future travels abroad (we live in USA). We prefer simple, laid back places and this was it!

Nu var det Corona virus tid så det er svært at vurdere. Men vi havde stedet for os selv og vores børn på 10 og 12 var vildt imponerede. Vi voksne nød værelse, fællesrum osv.

Overraskende behageligt når man egentlig er vandt til gode hoteller, for nu at sige det ligeud. Jeg kan sagtens bo på DanHostel en anden gang, god seng, flot standard, pænt og - ikke mindst - rigtig søde og venlige personale.
