The four-star Danhostel Hillerød, The Nordic Camp and Conference Center is uniquely located close to the woods and natural resort Store Dyrehave.
The center is located in walking distance from Hillerød Station, Frederiksborg Castle and the baroque garden, two big shopping malls and only a 30 minute drive from Copenhagen City Hall Square. The nearest supermarket is only 500 meters away and the nearest bus stop only 200 meters away.
We are surrounded by nature located on a 7 hectare preserved area with a nature playground, campfire, playing fields, outdoor table tennis, volleyball field as well facilities to play other ball games. Furthermore, we have a lake with 4 rowing boats, whereto safety vests can be borrowed.
The center offers free WIFI, which is accessible all over the premises as well as a number of cosy common rooms with TVs, indoor table tennis, air hockey and football.

First time staying at a hostel because hotels in this area were very expensive when researching. Arrived after hours and key was easy to find. Everyone was very friendly - there was a summer camp and they invited us to have s'mores at the campfire. Room was very spacious, clean and had everything we expected. Experience here will make me look into hostels for future travels abroad (we live in USA). We prefer simple, laid back places and this was it!

Nu var det Corona virus tid så det er svært at vurdere. Men vi havde stedet for os selv og vores børn på 10 og 12 var vildt imponerede. Vi voksne nød værelse, fællesrum osv.

Overraskende behageligt når man egentlig er vandt til gode hoteller, for nu at sige det ligeud. Jeg kan sagtens bo på DanHostel en anden gang, god seng, flot standard, pænt og - ikke mindst - rigtig søde og venlige personale.
